Laverna Von Hexametre is the grim reaper, a powerful and intimidating individual, and the ruler of Memori, the underworld. Laverna tends to keep to himself; his personality and emotions are somewhat of an enigma. Those he works with are intimidated by him and know him for having a cold and harsh exterior, but also for being diligent and highly dedicated to his work. He’s meticulous and quick to reprimand anyone not getting the job done right.

The truth is, Laverna’s seriousness is a result of him still being relatively new to the job and feeling as though he has to prove his authority to those who have been around longer than him. As a consequence of wanting to prove himself, he goes out of his way to avoid showing vulnerability and asking for help. Maybe if he did, he wouldn't have lost that eye.

In spite of their reputation as having a no-nonsense attitude, Laverna likes joking around and messing with others, although their sense of humor is often twisted, and people have trouble telling whether they're being serious or not.

• There was another Grim Reaper before Laverna; nobody knows or remembers much about him, though. Laverna refers to him as Old Death.
• Laverna has a fondness for roses; for some reason, they don't die when she touches them like other plants do.
• Occasionally, Laverna may choose to shapeshift into forms slightly more horrifying to get attention, intimidate, or just scare people for a laugh.
• Laverna was once mortal, but they don't care to discuss the details of their past. Many of their memories are unclear anyway.
• In spite of their relatively feminine appearance, Laverna's voice is masculine and fairly deep.

Death Divinity

Laverna's position as the currently standing grim reaper grants them authority over the underworld, the ability to take the souls of others, and the ability to travel between the living and spirit worlds.

Scythe Proficiency

Laverna's scythe isn't only for taking souls; they're an expert when it comes to wielding it as a weapon.

Shapeshifting

Laverna chooses to take on a humanoid form, not unlike their mortal body, but is able to alter their appearance limitlessly with one caveat: their left eye cannot be replaced. In pain or frustration, Laverna may occasionally unwittingly lose their grip on their form.
