4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
I love websites where I can read about OCs the most! I also love sites featuring shrines, pixel cliques, and web graphics.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
I kind of just do whatever I think is fun at the time. I keep a list of potential projects and new things to add to the site.

8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
Seeing some of my ideas all the way through.
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
Mostlys! I have a main layout that the bulk of my website adheres to, mostly for consistency, but I like taking shrines and some other special pages as an opportunity to try new things I otherwise may not have.
10. How confident are you with CSS?
I feel fairly confident with it and my ability to make my site look nice. There is definitely still lots of room for improvement and efficiency.
11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
I do now!
12. What is your favourite HTML element?
The last questionnaire asked that also, I still think my answer is img because I love web graphics.
13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?
Plan the layout. Usually by searching for inspiration on other sites and maybe drawing out what I think it should look like.
14. Do you know JavaScript?
No…
15. How about PHP?
No……
16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?
This is kind of the same answer as with the question on layouts; the majority of my website has the same pink *vaguely* webcore-ish(?) theme, but my shrines are an opportunity for something different and each of my OC pages has colors and backgrounds suited for them.
17. Are you more focused on content or design?
Am I allowed to say 50/50? My content like my art and my OC information is very important, but I work really hard on my presentation too, even if it isn't as fancy as a lot of sites.
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
I don't, but it might be cool one day! I have some ideas in mind.
19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or retro websites?
Cute, but they're usually usually better when they are being created by people who personally grew up with whichever era of the internet they're trying to emulate the aesthetics of.
20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?
It is valid as far as the w3c Markup Validation Service is concerned.
21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?
Cute and so fun!! I really liked making mine! I love looking at other people's buttons and cute, pretty, or creative buttons are definitely a big reason why I will choose to check out a site.
22. What do you think of button walls in particular?
I love them! I know mine is huge and most people likely aren't going to click on every single one, but I love including everyone I am mutuals with on here to show my appreciation.
23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?
I'd probably try making something different and then it would slowly morph back into the current website. I know from experience.
24. Are you envious of other people's websites?
It happens, but it doesn't have to be a bad thing. It can be inspiration to add new things to or improve mine.
25. What text editor do you use?
Don't get mad at me, but I mostly use the Neocities editor…
26. Why do you use that one?
I am lazy and like working on my iPad.
27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?
Mostly on my own site, but files that I'm also using on Toyhouse, like ribbons and certain backgrounds, I use filegarden for.
28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?
I don't really care. Nekoweb seems just as good for hosting a website and it has some nice additional services, like Atabook and WidgetStar, but I'm more comfortable with Neocities.
29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?
Right now? 319 MB. I could probably get that number down by compressing my art, but I don't really feel like it.
30. Do you keep local backups of your files?
I try to.
31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?
I don't enjoy minimalistic design, but sites can be very simple, but still very cute. I do prefer highly visual sites overall, provided the decorations don't interfere with the site's functionality.
32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?
I love using pink because it's my favorite color!
33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?
Nah, if anything it's more likely that I would quit my remaining social medias and work on my site even more.
34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?

35. Do people in your real life know about your website?
My parents and sister know of it because they know I like working on it.
36. Do you update your website very often? How often is very often?
Near every day. Even if it's not a big update or one that I announced, I am always sneakily adding or changing little things or working on some bigger project behind the scenes.
37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?
This site's design has changed little by little over the couple years it has been online, but it is still the same at its heart.

I think of it as me *and* hobby focused.

Secret…!
41. Do you communicate with people by email very much?
Not recreationally.
42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?
I have tumblr, twitter, and tiktok, but I use them for looking at art and funny posts instead of really posting anything myself, you know? I honestly deleted twitter recently, though.
43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?
I use Discord a lot.
44. Do you listen to music while you work on websites? If so, what kinds of artists?
All the time. I mostly listen to Vocaloid/vocal synth artists.
45. Do you keep everything you make on one website, or do you have more than one?
One website!
46. On a similar note, do you keep to one topic on your site, or many?
There are a few topics, but they're all related in that they are things I care a lot about!
47. Do you present your real self, or at least try? Or do you construct a persona on purpose?
I don't present everything about myself, nor should you on the internet, but everything I do share on my website is 100% authentic.
48. Have you ever made a good friend thanks to your website?
I have met a lot of very kind and talented people in the indie web community that I would love to get to know better.
49. Are you happy with the way HTML and CSS currently work?
Overall I am. I think once in a while I find out about a limitation that seems odd, but I can't really remember any.
50. What are practices that you think people should avoid?
Autoplaying videos and music, hotlinking, and straight up copying entire sites. No matter how you feel about copying code, I think you have to admit it can be boring seeing dozens of literal 1:1 copies of popular aesthetic sites.
51. What about under-utilised practices, or things you think people should do more?
I always like when sites have adopts, quizzes, cliques, or graphics to take back with you.
52. Do you use a lot of semantic HTML? Or are you guilty of generic structure?
I use it, I don't always know if I'm getting it all correct, but I do try!
53. Do you consider different browsers?
I check how the site looks in Firefox and Chrome at the very least.
54. Speaking of, what's your preferred browser? Convince your readers why they should use it.
Firefox. I used to use Chrome until my brother told me to switch. Whenever I have to use Chrome now it feels so slow and weird…
55. And what OS are you on?
Windows.
56. Do you have a strong opinion on that, or do you just happen to use it?
I've just always used it, but I do feel a little strongly about it. I have experience using Mac OS on school computers over the years and I just don't like it as much.
57. Are your websites mobile-friendly?
I tried. I hesitate to give a definite answer because I'm scared someone will get angry at me if I didn't do something right.
58. What are your thoughts on autoplay?
Everyone stop doing this.
59. What are your thoughts on webrings? Are you in any?
I like them! I love flipping through them. I am in 8 webrings right now. I also used to be in the self-insert and neocreatives webrings which are now defunct and the old vocaloid webring which has been replaced.
60. Do you have any web shrines? What do you like to see in that sort of page?
I have a few shrines presently, along with two currently unfinished character shrines and plans to make pages dedicated to Vocaloid and Deltarune. There's nothing in particular I look for in them, but I do prefer reading all about a webmaster's unabashed love for the subject matter more than anything.
61. Are your websites cliche, in your opinion?
Maybe! I know my site is pink and I love using images of Sanrio characters, so it might fall into the derogatory pink site category, but I don't mind. I made a blinkie about that, you know?
62. What is your ideal website? Are you striving for that, or for something else?
I don't really know what my ideal website would look like. Maybe it's my site when I have everyting on my potential projects/ideas list finished.
63. Are you an artist? Do you draw or design your own assets?
I am an artist! I create/edit some assets for myself, but I just love using cute images and graphics I find too much.
65. Is there a habit you just can't get away from no matter how hard you try?
Using the Neocities editor. I'm sorry, but it's easy and I'm stupid!
66. What's your biggest advice for a new webmaster?
Take your time and learn at your own pace. Don't let people guilt trip or bully you about doing things the right way, just focus on making something you love and are proud of. You can learn the right way if and when you're ready.
67. Do you keep all your styling in CSS? Or do you hard-code some?
Everything stays in the CSS. I like it better there.
68. What do you think of frameset layouts?
They are fine, except when they aren't being used properly, like when outgoing links just open within the frame. It can make browsing webrings especially annoying.
69. How about table-based layouts?
It doesn't really make a difference to me if anyone does this, but I the alternatives are easier, truthfully.
70. Do you subscribe to the ideas of one-column, two-column and three-column layouts? Do you use any of these?
I'm confused about what the alternative is.
71. Do you spend longer on the HTML or the CSS?
The CSS. The HTML doesn't really take that long if you have the actual content the page is for prepared ahead of time.
72. Have you ever made a page with no CSS? It's useful for your thoughts.
Only really for testing purposes.
73. Do you ever find yourself making layouts with nothing to put on them? Or do you only make layouts when the need arises?
I only make layouts when the need arises.
74. Would you consider yourself a beginner? Or advanced? Somewhere in the middle?
Pretty average. I am always learning new things and going back and implementing this new knowledge.
75. Do you have a habit of looking at the source code of websites you visit?
I like to take a look! Sometimes there are funny messages hidden in there!
76. How did YOU learn how to make websites?
Google, w3schools, respectfully peeking at source codes, a lot of trial and error.
77. Do you ever force elements to do things they're not supposed to?
I avoid this. Does this hurt the elements? :(

I use them, but only for their intended purpose of putting an image on the side of a block of text.
79. When you're sizing stuff, what do you use first? Do you use px, em, %, or something else?
For elements and images either % or px.
80. Do you have a favourite font?
Not really, I like all the fonts I've used throughout my site, though.
81. Would you run a website with another person? How would that work?
I would try it! Maybe if it were a site about a shared interest or a collaborative OC project.
82. Do you surf the Web to find new personal websites very often?
I love websurfing. I like checking the global activity pages of Neocities and Nekoweb, checking the memeber lists of webrings, fanlistings, and cliques, etc.
83. Do you bookmark other people's websites? How would you feel knowing someone else bookmarked yours?
Yes and I'd be happy to know others have bookmarked mine!
84. What do you want people to be most impressed with when they see your website?
I don't really know. It would be nice if people thought my characters were neat.
85. Are you interested in technology outside of websites? Do you collect?
I'm more tech-savvy than the average person, but not nearly as much as the average webmaster on here, it would seem. I basically just have the stuff I need.
86. How often and for how long are you online?
Don't ask questions you aren't prepared to handle the answers to.
87. When it comes to your website, who is your target audience?
Me! I have nothing to prove. I think it definitely appeals the most to other women who like drawing and original characters, though.

I don't really understand the purpose of XHTML, but a lot of its practices are things I already make sure to do anyway.

The only programming experience I have is with the RPG Maker engine, which isn't very hard to pick up, ehe.

I don't really have any particular feelings about them, nor have I used one.
91. Do you keep a hitcounter? Why or why not?
No, even though there are cute/pretty ones, I don't really care much about the number.
92. Do you frequent forums? Which ones?
I would like to, but I'm a bit shy. Used to be quite active on the PFQ forums, though.
93. Do you write your page content directly into the editor, or do you prepare it elsewhere, like a text document or a Word document?
I almost always prepare it in notes app or a google doc.
94. Do you think you appear cool to others? A more accurate answer now: do other people ever say you're cool?
I don't know. I call myself Cool Lazer, but I don't know if anyone else does.
95. Are you embarrassed of your old work? Have you ever deleted everything out of shame?
Over ten years ago, when I was quite young, I deleted a lot of art I was being bullied over. Since then I have regretted it and vowed not to let shame cause me to destroy something I worked hard on again.
96. Would you close down your website if you couldn't update it, or would you leave an archive?
I don't like it when people close down their sites just because they're inactive. I would just leave it up until I can come back to it.
97. Do you reveal a lot about yourself on your website? Or are you more secretive?
I feel like I am pretty open about my creative projects and the things I am interested in, but I try not to say anything about my offline life.
98. Are you willing to reveal who your best online friend is, and/or if they have a website?

17. If you were in a band what kind of music would you make?
18. If you were tasked with creating a new Monster High character, what monster would they be designed after?
My first instinct was to say Fresno nightcrawler, because it's funny, but that would… not work. MH could definitely use more characters based on yokai. A kitsune or tanuki character could be really cute.

55. What do you think of piracy (as in watching movies ilegally, not literal pirates)?
If buying isn't owning piracy isn't stealing. I don't judge anyone for it unless it's something like pirating an indie game from a developer that needs the money.
56. If you accidentaly stole something from a store how expensive would it have to be for you to feel guilty and go back inside to pay for it?
I probably would feel guilty regardless, but if it was under $5.00 I would likely just let it go.
57. What is the best gift you have ever recieved?
I have a lot of nice things like figures and plushies that were gifts, but I think I have to go with art I've received of my characters from my friends.
58. Do you like keeping a schedule or do you prefer to rawdog all your responsibilities?
Somewhere in-between. I like having a schedule provided by school or work, but never can be bothered to keep my own.
59. Have you ever installed a virus in your computer?
Not to my knowledge. My dad introduced me to computers and was always really serious about safety and having an anti-virus program and things like that.

I'm not very good at competitive games, so I choose whatever character I think is cute, like Princess Peach or Kirby.

I'm open-minded, gullible even, when it comes to the supernatural, so probably!
84. What kind of bag do you carry?

For sure.
97. Would you prefer to sleep in the top or the bottom of a double-decker bed?
My sister and I had bunk beds when we were kids. I've tried both and honestly prefer the bottom bunk.

There are a lot of compliments on my art that have really stayed with me, especially on my choices in colors.

I've made up my own characters since I was little, but I think my first OCs were created around fifth grade.
3. Where do you keep all the info on your OCs? In a notebook? On a website? Do you share your OC profiles or stories with anyone?
I have a dedicated master doc for all of my OC information, but my characters also have public profile here on my site, on Toyhouse, and on Art Fight. I also have a small friend discord server dedicated to sharing my characters.
Do you consider yourself primarily a writer, artist, role-player, or something else?
A hobbyist artist, writer, and aspiring game developer. All just for fun! ♫
What first inspired you to start making characters?
What piece of media or fictional world has influenced your OCs the most?
Which creator, professional or not, inspires you most?
I'm inspired a lot by my friends, especially my best friend!
How many OCs do you estimate you have?
Between all of my little projects I definitely have 100+, but obviously not all of them are important and a lot of them are quite old or not being used anymore.
What genre do you enjoy creating in most? What genre do you rarely create in?
What is your favorite character archetype?
What character trope are you tired of seeing?
What trope do you avoid?
What trope or archetype do you not have and want to create?
I've had ideas for a character that fits into the evil rogue AI trope that I think could be fun to make.
What shipping trope can you never resist? What shipping trope is not your cup of tea?
I have given shipping tropes a lot of thought actually. In seriousness, I think a few tropes that tend to show up in my own writing are friends to lovers, star-crossed lovers, hurt/comfort, and the general idea of loving someone unconditionally even if they mess up or are strange, inhuman even.
I do not like taboo or dark romance tropes. Some are not my cup of tea and others, while I think are perfectly acceptable topics to explore in fiction, shouldn't be packaged as romance.
What emotion do you enjoy exploring most?
This may come as a shock, but self-loathing and regret.
What emotion is hardest for you to write?
What is your opinion on dark themes and characters?
I suppose I touched on this a few questions ago, but depicting dark themes is fine, helpful even for spreading awareness and allowing people to feel seen. It's the motivations of the author and their willingness to depict these themes with care/taste that makes a difference.
What design aesthetic best describes your tastes? What design aesthetic do you dislike?
What charm point/moe point do you often include in your OC designs?
I don't know if these qualify as charm points, but I love adding bows/ribbons to female and male characters alike. I also have a tendency to add arm and leg belts because I think they look neat. I also love long-haired guys, so I have a lot of them…
Explain your OC process: do you design characters visually before writing them? Do your characters tend to change significantly over time?
I never create designs without a role in a story or a personality in mind. My character concepts do change a lot from my first ideas by the time they are designed.
How often do you redesign OCs?
Not often. I usually don't change much either. My Danganronpa fan characters did recieve some pretty significant upgrades not that long ago, though.
Do you keep character references organized? What tools, apps, or websites do you utilize to help keep you organized?
Outside of the aforementioned master doc and websites where I host my characters, I use pinterest and google drive to save images for future art and character design inspiration.
Do you listen to music while creating?
Always!
Link a song or album you associate with your OC/story.
What is one thing all your characters seem to have in common?
What is something you hope people feel when they see your work?

Which OC was created most recently? What inspired them?
Which OC are you most proud of?
Which OC was easiest to create?
Which OC was hardest to create?
From you or from others, which OC receives the most attention?
My Danganronpa characters naturally recieve a lot of attention from other people, which I am grateful for. Aside from them, I think Charlotte has become a sort of main OC that recieves a lot of attention from me and other people.
From you or from others, which OC do you wish received more attention?

Which OC was born from sadness?
Which OC exists because there was something you wanted to see in fiction but could not find?

If all your OCs met in one room, what would happen?
That sounds so dangerous! Especially for the plain old human characters…
PART III: YOUR FAVORITE OC
What is your favorite OC's full name? Do they have nicknames?
Charlotte doesn't have a surname at the moment… but she does have the nickname Chardine, which is something my friend, Baz, called her one time as a joke and I thought it was really funny and canonized it as something Gabriel calls her.
Describe their appearance. What is their voice like?
What is their occupation?
She's a witch and she's evil!
What is their most distinctive feature?
I think I would have to go with the cat ears and tail.
What first impression do people get from them?
What is their greatest flaw?
What is something they secretly wish people understood about them?
How would their best friend describe them?
What event shaped them most?
What secret are they keeping?
Who is most important to them?
What qualities attract them to someone? What qualities immediately repel them?
What would break their heart?
What is a skill they're unexpectedly good at?
What is something they're terrible at?
What song reminds you most of this OC?
Which animal represents them best?
This one is easy… a black cat.
If they had a signature scent, what would it be?
If they were turned into a doll or figurine, what accessories would be included?
Naturally her hat and magic staff would have to be included, but so would Little Guy, in the same way that Monster High core dolls always come with a pet.
Oh no! Your OC magically turned into a dish. What kind of food did they turn into?
What would their social media account look like?
Which fictional character from an existing IP would they absolutely hate?
Why do you love this OC?
PART IV:LET'S DIG DEEPER

Which OC embodies a version of yourself that you left behind? Which OC embodies the ideal version of you?
What recurring wound appears throughout your cast? Abandonment, loneliness, duty, failure, etc.? Why do you think that wound appears so often?
Pick an OC story or universe of yours. What question is this story trying to answer?
Which aspect of yourself appears in your villains but rarely in your protagonists?
Which OC would understand your darkest thought without judging you? Which OC contains the impulses you refuse to act upon?
What would your oldest OC say about the person you've become?
PART V: FINAL QUESTION:
Years from now when you are old and grey, long after you've forgotten details, abandoned projects, and your desk is littered with unfinished drafts...one OC remains beside you.
"Bunny" because it has been a nickname from my mom for my entire life. "Lazer" because I saw the word randomly. Yeah, I chose the nickname I've been going by for over a decade now on a whim.
