Fan behaviors

Alright, so you've made it to a not-so-secret, secret page!

Character dynamics tend to be my favorite aspect within stories, so shipping is natural to me. I love looking at fan art and reading fan fiction, and I've been drawing my own, including ship art, since I was around 10 years old.

There are f/f, m/m, and m/f ships that I love and I also have certain tropes and dynamics I prefer and some I have aversions to from each category.

I'm usually a monoshipper, but sometimes I like multiple ships for one character, usually rarepairs.

Flavor Profile

With all of the above tropes in mind, basically, I love sweet romances between best friends who trust and understand each other more than anyone. I like when these characters are vulnerable with each other, especially when insecure, because their partner loves them no matter what.

As much as I love fluff, I also love angst and the external conflicts that keep star-crossed lovers apart, even death, or self-sacrifice, or a failure to protect the one you love most, or the realization that absence makes the heart grow fonder... except I like it better when there's a happy ending and a heartfelt reunion ♥

In more action-focused series, I think it's really cool for pairings to fight side by side and like, aura-farm together.

Finally, it also helps for pairings to have playful or funny moments like lighthearted bickering or teasing from time to time.

Now, in case you were wondering, a lot of this applies to my favored platonic character dynamics too. I can be just as moved by characters who are strictly best friends or siblings whose relationships share these central themes and ideas, but without the romantic aspects. This is even the case for some of my own characters. I just can't deny my liking for relationships that do have those aspects.
