Vanquisher of Darkness

A highly renowned paladin who graduated from the prestigious knight academy in the capital city and later began serving the king. At his king's behest, he ventured to a location known as the Necromancer's Tower, an ominous structure on a rocky cliffside surrounded by thick forest and overlooking Charlotte's village. The tower was home to the kingdom's most powerful dark magic user, known only as the Necromancer, whom Gabriel had been ordered to slay. In spite of Gabriel's power and reputation as the most revered knight in the land, he perished at the hands of the Necromancer. Not long after he was unwillingly resurrected by Charlotte, whom he resents.

As a paladin, Gabriel is bound by a sacred oath to uphold justice and righteousness and purge evil in the name of the light. He makes his decisions based on honor first and foremost, followed shortly by logic. For him, selfish or cowardly decision-making is completely out of the question, and he will always put others first. Gabriel holds both himself and others to the highest standards of virtue, and while he is far from egotistical, he does regard himself highly because of his achievements and good deeds and thinks of himself as better than dark magic practitioners like Charlotte. For someone who prefers to work alone as it is, there couldn't be a worse adventuring partner for him.

• The scar on Gabriel’s face is from long before he died.
• There are certain rules that come with being reanimated with dark magic, the first of which is that Gabriel cannot cause intentional harm to Charlotte; it doesn't work. The second being, if Charlotte dies, he will die with her.
• On the other hand, if Gabriel dies in his reanimated state again, Charlotte has a fix for that, utilizing a powerful lightning summoning spell on the bolts on his neck.
• When Gabriel was killed, his left arm was damaged beyond repair; Charlotte opted to replace it with a mechanical one.

Weapon Proficiency

Gabriel’s knight training granted him mastery in combat using martial weapons, his weapon of choice being the sword.

Divine Blessing

The blessing that came with Gabriel’s sacred oath granted him the ability to heal the wounded via touch and smite monsters, the undead, and practitioners of dark magic with melee weapons, but following his resurrection, he lost these powers.

Spell Casting

As a knight, Gabriel doesn't rely on spell casting for combat but does utilize light magic as a utility, being proficient in spells used for dispelling curses and dark spirits and protection.
