Dismal Reflection

A wizard-in-training studying at the Magic Academy who became romantically involved with an attendee of the Knight Academy. Emile’s quest to locate a rare potion ingredient for his final exam led to his and his partner's deaths in the tower after his curiosity got the better of him and he wandered inside, his partner trailing after him. Following his death, Emile was sealed within a mirror in The Necromancer’s personal library, becoming its unwitting overseer.

Emile had always been quiet and introverted, his one source of confidence being his magic skills, having been a highly talented and ambitious student who specialized in enchanting items and potion creation, as well as a meticulous worker prone to pulling all-nighters researching. Spending time with his partner eventually helped him become more outgoing and adventurous—too adventurous. These days Emile has become more withdrawn than ever and hesitates to let anyone know he's even there, having convinced himself he deserves this fate.

• Emile attended the same magic academy as both Charlotte and Sylvain.
• By now, Emile has practically omniscient knowledge of not only the whereabouts of every book in the library but the contents of each one as well.
• Emile can reveal his former appearance from the inside of the glass whenever he wants to, but he usually doesn't, so most of the time it's hard to tell he's there.
• Emile is trapped in his mirror, but it also is him to an extent. When the mirror is touched, he can feel it, and if it were shattered or otherwise broken, it would cause him pain.
• There is a sort of haunting cold presence surrounding the mirror; the temperature of the entire room gets even colder whenever Emile becomes upset; he has no conscious control over it.

Telekinesis

While he can't move, physically interact with his surroundings, or use magic, becoming the overseer of the library gave Emile the power to manipulate all of the objects within the room with telekinetic force. This includes the books on the shelves, the furniture, and even people who enter.
